Baker Sterchi Member Laura Beasley to Serve as Faculty Member of 2020 IDC Trial Academy


Baker Sterchi Member Laura Beasley joins numerous other attorneys as faculty of the 2020 Illinois Defense Counsel (IDC) Trial Academy and Virtual Trial Tactics program, which will include lectures from Trial Academy faculty members on topics ranging from pre-trial/post-trial and evidentiary motions and jury instructions to cross examination and technology. Beasley will lecture on opening statements for the defense. 

Beasley, located in Baker Sterchi’s Belleville, Illinois office, focuses her practice in the areas of civil litigation defense, general liability, class action/mass torts, insurance coverage, personal injury, and product liability. She represents individuals, institutions and corporate clients in all phases of litigation. Beasley earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geography from Austin Peay University and her law degree from Southern Illinois University School. She is a member of several bar associations and currently serves as President-Elect of the Board of Directors of the IDC. She is licensed to practice in both Illinois and Missouri state and federal courts.

The IDC Trial Academy and Virtual Trial Tactics program will be presented virtually on October 6, 7 and 8. Beasley’s session on defendant’s opening statement runs from 3:10-4:15 on Tuesday, October 6. The Virtual Trial Tactics webinar is worth 4.75 hours of CLE credit in Illinois, Indiana and Iowa, and 5.8 hours in Missouri and Wisconsin. For more information or to register, click here.
