Baker Sterchi Belleville Attorneys Named as 2021 Leading and Emerging Lawyers

Law Bulletin Media has recognized Baker Sterchi Members Laura Beasley and Greg Odom as top attorneys in Illinois - Beasley as a Leading Lawyer and Odom as an Emerging Lawyer. Both are in the firm’s Belleville office.

Beasley focuses her practice in the areas of civil litigation defense, general liability, class action/mass torts, insurance coverage, personal injury, and product liability. She currently serves as President-Elect on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Defense Counsel. Beasley earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geography from Austin Peay University and her law degree from Southern Illinois University School. She is licensed to practice in Illinois and Missouri.

Less than five percent of all lawyers licensed in each state receive the Leading Lawyer distinction. Only lawyers most often recommended by peers and later approved by an Advisory Board are selected. Attorneys cannot recommend themselves or anyone at their law firm.

Odom is an experienced trial attorney with a practice focused on complex business litigation matters in the areas of toxic torts, personal injury, product liability, premises liability, environmental law, and commercial litigation.  He currently serves on the Illinois Defense Counsel Board of Directors and as Chair of itsToxic Tort Committee. Odom earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University.  He is licensed to practice in Illinois and Missouri.

Less than two percent of all lawyers licensed in each state receive the Emerging Lawyers distinction, selected according to the results of annual surveys mailed to all Leading Lawyers in the state asking for input on lawyers who have proven themselves professional, ethical, and experienced at an early point in their legal career. Emerging Lawyers must be 40 or younger or have been practicing for no more than ten years.

Law Bulletin Media, a print and electronic information company serving the Illinois legal and business communities, has been publishing the annual Leading Lawyers Magazine since 2003.
