Baker Sterchi Promotes Two to Member Status

Baker Sterchiis pleased to announce the promotion of Martha Charepoo and Megan Stumph-Turner to Member status effective January 1, 2019.

Located in the firm’s St. Louis office, Martha Charepoo’s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation, fraud and unfair trade practices, insurance coverage, subrogation, insurance bad faith litigation, product liability defense, and general liability. Chair of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, Charepoo is also a member of Missouri Bar Association Committees on Diversity, Financial Services and Insurance Law, and serves as a mentor for the Missouri Asian American Bar Association’s Mentor Program. She is the author of two volumes of the Missouri Practice, Civil Rules Practice, commenting on Rules 41-76 of the Missouri Rules of Civil Procedure.  She earned her law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.

Located in the firm’s Kansas City office, Megan Stumph-Turner’s practice is focused on civil litigation, with an emphasis in the areas of creditors’ rights, financial services, real estate, and commercial litigation. She has been a panelist speaker at mortgage servicing conferences and is the editor of the firm’s Financial Litigation Law blog.  She is a current Barrister of the Earl E. O’Conner American Inn of Court and Bank Counsel Member of the Missouri Bankers Association.  Stumph-Turner earned her law degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia School of Law, and is a graduate of the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy
