Baker Sterchi Welcomes Betsy Miller in Kansas City

Elizabeth “Betsy” Miller joins Baker Sterchi's Kansas City office as a civil defense litigation associate, with an emphasis in the areas of personal injury, products liability, and class action and multidistrict litigation.

A native of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas, Miller received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law where she was a Comment Editor for The Urban Lawyer, a member of the UMKC Law Review, and served in leadership roles, including as President of the Student Bar Association and as a Member of the UMKC Law Foundation.

While in law school, she clerked for two local law firms where she assisted several Kansas federal trials and was a member of a legal team representing hundreds of U.S. corn farmers in a class action suit.

Miller’s community involvement includes serving as a tutor volunteer for the Learning Club of KCK, an organization helping high-risk children reach their potential through one-on-one tutoring and mentoring, and as a gleaning volunteer for After the Harvest, an organization that picks what is left in farmers’ fields after the harvest for food banks, pantries, shelters and community kitchens.
