Baker Sterchi Adds Jennifer Maloney in St. Louis

Jennifer Maloney has joined the St. Louis office of Baker Sterchi as a Member. Previously Of Counsel with the St. Louis law firm of Heyl Royster, Maloney’s practice is focused on civil litigation defense, primarily in the areas of premises liability, product liability, personal injury and transportation. She is also experienced at handling toxic torts, pharmaceutical liability, complex and class action litigation, construction litigation, insurance coverage, and nursing home litigation.

“Jennifer is a great addition to our St. Louis office as we continue to grow the firm,” said Baker Sterchi’s Managing Member Scott Kreamer.  “With over a decade of experience, Jennifer’s breadth of knowledge and impressive track record in trial and litigation make her an incredible asset to our clients.”

Maloney has represented a variety of clients in the construction, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and transportation industries in federal and state courts across Missouri and Illinois. For the last several years she has defended a major trucking company in its personal injury and broker liability cases in most of Missouri and Southern Illinois.

“I am excited to join the team in St. Louis,” said Maloney.  “I think it is a great fit for myself and my clients and I look forward to growing with the firm.”

An active member of the St. Clair County Bar Association, Maloney is currently serving as President after having previously served as First Vice President and Secretary, and as a member of the Board of Directors.  She is also a member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, East St. Louis Bar Association, Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel, Illinois State Bar Association and Missouri Bar.

Maloney received her J.D. from the Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2004, and her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Southern Illinois University in 2001.  She is licensed to practice in Missouri; Illinois; the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri; and the Southern, Central and Northern Districts of Illinois.
