Kehl Friesen Appointed as Marketing Chair of ALFA International's Gig Economy Practice Group
Baker Sterchi Member Kehl Friesen has been appointed as the marketing chair of ALFA International’s Gig Economy Practice Group for the remainder of 2024. This appointment paves the way for him to assume the role of 2026 Program Chair, beginning in February 2025.
ALFA’s Gig Economy Practice Group caters to an extensive range of clients, from multi-billion-dollar technology companies with multifaceted legal teams to small startups confronting “bet-the-company” legal challenges. The practice group boasts seasoned labor and employment attorneys who are experienced in an array of traditional civil litigation claims, including the intricate landscape of transportation and rideshare claims, commercial general liability complexities, and business litigation.
Friesen's civil litigation defense practice is centered on personal injury, product liability, premises liability and general liability cases. He is involved in ALFA’s Future Leaders Forum, serves on the steering committee of ALFA’s Hospitality & Retail Practice Group and is a member of its Product Liability Practice Group. Friesen also holds membership in the Asian American Bar Association of Kansas City, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers and the Propane Gas Defense Association. He earned his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and is admitted to practice in Kansas, Missouri and Illinois.
