Baker Sterchi Attorneys Recognized by Washington Super Lawyers 2025


Washington Super Lawyers 2025 has named Baker Sterchi Members Robert Christie and Megan Coluccio to the Super Lawyers list, and attorneys John Barry and Salim Lewis to the Rising Stars list. All four attorneys are based in the firm's Seattle office.

Christie has more than 40 years of experience defending clients in civil litigation, including police and government liability, product liability and personal injury defense. He serves on the Lawyers for Civil Justice board, is a past president of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, and co-chairs the firm’s Law Enforcement & Civil Rights Defense and Trial & Appellate practice groups. He was recently appointed chair of the International Association of Defense Counsel’s Trial Techniques and Tactics Committee. Christie is admitted to practice in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and before the United States Supreme Court.

Coluccio is a trial lawyer with a practice focused on defending complex civil rights, professional negligence, municipal liability and catastrophic injury claims. She hold various leadership roles in the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, and co-chairs both the firm’s Law Enforcement & Civil Rights Defense and Trial & Appellate practice groups. She is admitted to practice in Washington, Oregon and Idaho and before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.

Barry’s practice includes municipal liability defense, professional liability defense and general personal injury defense. He currently serves as the young lawyer representative for the Washington State Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. He earned his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law and is admitted to practice in Washington.

Lewis focuses on premises liability, police liability, medical malpractice and product liability. He began his legal career as a Rule 6 Legal Intern under Christie’s mentorship and is a member of DRI’s Young Lawyers Committee and Washington Defense Trial Lawyers. He is admitted to practice in Washington.
