Baker Sterchi Contributes to Missouri Supreme Court Brief on Expert Evidence

Baker Sterchi Managing Member Scott Kreamer and attorney Dylan Murray recently contributed to a Lawyers for Civil Justice (LCJ) amicus brief in Hanshaw v. Crown Equipment Corporation before the Missouri Supreme Court. The brief urges alignment of Missouri’s expert evidence rules with Federal Rule of Evidence 702, ensuring judges evaluate the reliability of expert testimony. The full brief is available here.

Kreamer, who serves as LCJ president, and Baker Sterchi have actively supported the organization’s advocacy efforts, including the reforms to Rule 702.

At Baker Sterchi, Kreamer focuses his national trial practice on commercial, construction, financial services, insurance and product liability matters. He frequently serves as national coordinating counsel and MDL liaison counsel for major corporations and has tried more than 30 cases in state and federal courts. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a past president of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel.

Murray has represented U.S. and international corporate clients for more than 20 years in commercial, tort, product liability, pharmaceutical, medical device and construction litigation in both federal and state courts. He also has extensive experience assisting clients with e-discovery, legal holds, information governance, and data protection and privacy compliance.

LCJ is a national coalition of companies, law firms and defense bar organizations advocating for procedural litigation reforms to promote the just, speedy and cost-effective resolution of civil claims.
