On Nov. 14, Baker Sterchi Member Heather Shore will co-present “HVAC and MEP” at the American Bar Association (ABA) Forum on Construction Law Regional Program in Kansas City. The session will cover the basic functions, components and types of HVAC systems, along with an overview of plumbing and electrical systems used in commercial buildings and common issues with these systems that can lead to construction claims.
Based in Kansas City, Shore has nearly 30 years of experience in construction, surety and commercial litigation. She serves on the American Arbitration Association’s Panel of Construction, Commercial and Consumer Arbitrators, is president of the Kansas Bar Association’s Construction Law Section and is an active member and committee leader within the ABA’s Construction and Surety sections. She frequently presents for national and local organizations on topics including construction delay claims, contract drafting, dispute resolution and surety claims handling. She is licensed to practice in Missouri, Kansas, Colorado and Texas.
The ABA Forum on Construction Law will present its 2025 program “Construction Law Essentials” in four cities across the country Nov. 13-14 to promote education and collaboration among construction law practitioners.related services
