Baker Sterchi Member Phil Sumner will serve as a panelist during the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) webinar “Assessing Reform Efforts on Time-Limited Demands” on Jan. 29.
Sumner will join attorneys from other firms and a senior litigation manager from the insurance industry to discuss how recent statutory reforms in Florida, Georgia and Missouri are reshaping demand handling practices and potential bad faith exposure. The program will address how to leverage new statutory defenses, identify emerging pitfalls and loopholes, and apply practical strategies to help protect organizations in an increasingly complex legal environment.
Sumner represents insurers and their insureds in matters involving construction defects, product liability, personal injury and premises liability. He has tried multiple cases before juries and judges. He is a member of CLM’s Construction Claims Committee, serves on the steering committee of ALFA International’s Construction Practice Group and is a member of DRI’s Construction Law Committee. He is licensed to practice law in Missouri.
CLM is a national organization focused on the claims and litigation management industry, with more than 50,000 members.
