Baker Sterchi Sponsors DRI Civil Rights and Governmental Tort Liability Seminar

Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice is sponsoring the 39th Annual DRI Civil Rights and Governmental Tort Liability Seminar, scheduled for Feb. 18-20 in Orlando.

The seminar examines national trends and developments in civil rights and governmental tort liability litigation, with sessions addressing issues from qualified immunity and Monell claims to amicus briefing and law enforcement defense. The program offers practical guidance and opportunities to exchange ideas with litigators, insurance professionals and government lawyers from across the country.

Baker Sterchi’s Governmental Agencies/Public Entities practice group defends municipalities, counties, law enforcement agencies, public officials and other governmental entities in complex civil rights and tort litigation. The group is co-chaired by Megan Coluccio and David Schneidewind.

Attorneys Victoria Baker, Rebecca Boatright, Bob Christie, Megan Coluccio, Brian Maxey and Greg Narver are representing the firm at the seminar. Boatright, Maxey and Narver recently joined the Baker Sterchi, bringing prior experience in senior government and law enforcement roles focused on risk management, operations and public accountability.

DRI is an international organization that provides resources, education and networking opportunities for defense attorneys and in-house counsel.
