On Mar. 6, Baker Sterchi Director of Office Operations Amy Nevad, secretary of the Gateway Chapter Executive Board of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA), served as a panelist at the chapter’s program, “Inside the Modern Law Firm: Opportunities Beyond the Practice of Law,” co-sponsored by Webster University. The program examined the range of professional roles within modern law firms and highlighted career paths available to nonlawyers in the legal industry.
In her role at Baker Sterchi, Nevad oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm’s branch offices, including staff supervision, policy implementation and operational support, and contributes to strategic planning, budgeting, facility management and project management. She also serves on the firm’s Attorney Training and Development Committee.
Founded in 1971, ALA is a professional organization for individuals responsible for managing the business operations of law firms, corporate legal departments and government legal agencies.Recent Speaking Engagements
