His session, “Mitigating Extracontractual Risk: Responding to Time-Limited Demands,” will address how jurisdictional standards shape demand responses, highlight common pitfalls and outline communication best practices, including effective response letters and claim documentation.
Sumner is a trial lawyer who defends insurers and their insureds in construction, product liability, personal injury and premises liability matters. He is a member of CLM’s Construction Claims Committee, serves on the steering committee of ALFA International’s Construction Practice Group and is a member of DRI’s Construction Law and Insurance Law committees. He is licensed to practice in Missouri.
