Jim Maloney Accepts Invitation to Join American College of Coverage Counsel
Jim Maloney, a Member in Baker Sterchi’s Kansas City office, has accepted an invitation to join the American College of Coverage Counsel (ACCC) as a Fellow.
The ACCC is an invitation-only organization of attorneys in the United States and Canada who represent the interests of insurers and policyholders in insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes. The organization promotes scholarship, professional collaboration and the fair and efficient resolution of coverage issues among its members. Fellows are selected through a peer nomination and review process culminating in approval by the organization’s Board of Regents.
Maloney represents individuals, companies and insurance carriers in complex civil litigation and insurance defense matters. He has handled multimillion-dollar coverage and bad-faith litigation throughout Missouri and Kansas and has testified as an expert in legislative hearings supporting successful tort reform measures. He also frequently speaks on emerging issues affecting insurers in both first- and third-party coverage claims.
