On June 5, Baker Sterchi Member and Kansas Bar Association Construction Law Section President Heather Shore will help lead and co-present at the KBA Construction Law CLE Conference in Olathe, Kansas. The session, “Smart Documents, Serious Benefits?: Ethical Considerations and Professional Risks in Using AI for Document Management,” will explore ethical and professional considerations surrounding the use of artificial intelligence in construction-related legal practice.
The conference features a full day of programming focused on legal and regulatory issues impacting the construction industry, bringing together attorneys, consultants and industry professionals to examine evolving risks, emerging technologies and project delivery challenges. The program is expected to offer 6.5 hours of CLE credit, including 1.0 hour of ethics credit in Kansas and Missouri, and qualifies for Missouri elimination of bias credit.
Based in the firm’s Kansas City office, Shore has nearly 30 years of experience representing clients in construction, surety and commercial litigation. She serves on the American Arbitration Association’s panels of construction, commercial and consumer arbitrators and is a member and committee leader of the American Bar Association’s TIPS Surety and Fidelity Law Committee. Shore is co-chair of the firm’s Construction Practice Group and is licensed to practice in Missouri, Kansas, Colorado and Texas.
