Heather Shore Appointed to Two Kansas Bar Association Committees
Baker Sterchi Member Heather Shore has been appointed to serve on two Kansas Bar Association (KBA) committees: the Bench-Bar Committee and the Media-Bar Committee.
The Bench-Bar Committee develops programs and makes recommendations to improve relationships and communication between the bench and bar. The Media-Bar Committee serves as a liaison among the bar, bench and news media, providing a forum for education, the exchange of perspectives and consideration of issues affecting these groups.
Based in Baker Sterchi’s Kansas City office, Shore has nearly 30 years of experience handling complex construction, surety and commercial litigation. She co-chairs the firm’s Construction Trial & Litigation Practice Group and serves as president of the KBA Construction Law Section. Shore also serves on the American Arbitration Association’s panels of construction, consumer and commercial arbitrators and frequently speaks at local and national conferences on issues affecting the construction industry.
The KBA supports the legal profession through professional development, public education and programs promoting the fair administration of justice.
