Baker Sterchi Attorney Paul Wickens Receives 2023 ICON Award from Missouri Lawyers Media

Baker Sterchi attorney Paul Wickens has been selected by Missouri Lawyers Media to receive the 2023 ICON Award. This award is presented to 25 individuals aged 60 and older who have demonstrated exemplary legal careers, long-standing commitments to the Missouri legal community, and success beyond the field of law. Among the honorees are founding partners, firm leaders, and former public officials.

Wickens has extensive trial experience in both state and federal courts throughout the Midwest, with nearly 100 jury trials under his belt. His recent practice has focused on the defense of catastrophic injury cases and serving as regional and national products liability and litigation counsel for several US and international companies.

Wickens serves on the Strategic Development Board for the University of Missouri College of Arts and Science, providing leadership and support to the college. In addition, he has held numerous leadership roles throughout his career, including as a former national board member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, former Missouri state representative of the Defense Research Institute, past chair of the products liability section of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, past president of the Western Missouri Defense Lawyers, member of the American Bar Association House of Delegates, and as a founder and first president of the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers.
