Kehl Friesen Named to "20 to Know in the Legal Industry" List
The Kansas City Business Journal has recognized Baker Sterchi Member Kehl Friesen in its "20 to Know in the Legal Industry" list, highlighting 20 figures in the Kansas City area legal sector.
Friesen's civil litigation defense practice is centered on personal injury, product liability, premises liability and general liability cases. Actively engaged in Baker Sterchi's Recruiting and Retention, as well as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committees, he regularly represents the firm at law schools and job fairs, contributing to its efforts to foster a more diverse and inclusive workplace and legal community.
Moreover, Friesen is involved in the ALFA International Future Leaders Forum, a program that cultivates young attorneys for leadership roles. Additionally, he serves on the steering committee of ALFA International’s Hospitality & Retail Practice Group and is a member of its Product Liability Practice Group. Friesen also holds membership in the Asian American Bar Association of Kansas City, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers and the Propane Gas Defense Association.
Friesen has garnered recognition as an up-and-coming lawyer, having been named by Best Lawyers on its Ones to Watch in America list, by Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers on its Rising Stars list, and as a 2021 recipient of the Missouri Lawyers Media Up & Coming Award. He earned his law degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City and his undergraduate degree in Journalism at the University of Kansas.
