Beasley Receives Dual Recognition at IDC Annual Conference for Service to the Defense Bar
Baker Sterchi Member Laura Beasley (Belleville) was recognized with two awards at the recent Illinois Defense Counsel (IDC) Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon held at the East Bank Club in Chicago.
Beasley is the immediate past president of the IDC and has served in numerous other leadership and volunteer roles within the organization over several years. The organization recognized her efforts with an award for “valuable and devoted service.” She also received a 2021-2022 Defense Research Institute Exceptional Performance Citation “for having supported and improved the standards and education of the defense bar, and for having contributed to the improvement of the administration of justice in the public interest.”
Beasley has undertaken over 40 jury trials in state and federal courts and has represented clients at all phases of litigation, from pre-suit assessment and negotiation to alternative dispute resolution, trial and appellate level work. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and Missouri.
