Clay Crawford to Address Lawyer Liability in Extracontractual Cases at ACCC Program

On Nov. 19, Baker Sterchi Member Clay Crawford will serve as a panelist for the American College of Coverage Counsel (ACCC) Pop-Up Dialogue, “Lawyer Liability in Extracontractual Cases.” The online program will examine the increasing trend of insurers suing defense and coverage counsel in excess verdict and bad faith cases, as well as the growing exposure of lawyers for both insurers and insureds in extracontractual litigation.

Crawford focuses his practice on insurance coverage, bad faith and catastrophic injury defense. A Fellow of the ACCC, he co-chairs its Extracontractual and Bad Faith Claims Litigation Committee. He also serves as co-chair of Baker Sterchi’s Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith Practice Group and is a frequent speaker on insurance coverage topics. For the past five years, he has been recognized by Chambers USA for his insurance work in Missouri. Crawford earned his law degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law and is admitted to practice in Missouri.

The ACCC is a preeminent invitation-only organization of leading U.S., Canadian and Bermudan lawyers who represent the interests of both insurers and policyholders in insurance coverage and extracontractual matters. Attendance at the Pop-Up Dialogue is limited to ACCC Fellows.
