Located in the Kansas City office, Doug Doerfler is Baker Sterchi's Executive Director.

Doug assists with the implementation of the firm’s strategic plan as a member of its strategic planning committee. He collects and analyzes data for potential business expansion and identifies specific business opportunities, leads projects, and coordinates with attorneys and practice group co-chairs to produce better results and outcomes. He also reviews business processes and recommends relevant improvements.

As a natural problem solver on the hunt for better ways to do business, he helps to identify potential business issues and structure solutions that deliver better value to firm clients. He is a certified public accountant always striving to make the firm more profitable through reduced costs and increased revenues. 

Doug has more than 30 years of experience in the legal industry, including strategic roles in Kansas City area law firms ranging in size from 60 to 550 attorneys. He is a past president of the Kansas City Association of Legal Administrators.
