Four Named to 2026 Washington Super Lawyers and Rising Stars Lists

Baker Sterchi Members Bob Christie and Megan Coluccio have been named to the 2026 Washington Super Lawyers list, while John Barry and Reeya Patel have been named to the 2026 Washington Rising Stars list. Christie and Coluccio were recognized in Civil Litigation: Defense and Civil Rights, respectively, while Barry and Patel were recognized in Civil Litigation: Defense and State, Local & Municipal, respectively. All four practice in the firm’s Seattle office.

Christie has more than 40 years of experience defending clients in civil litigation, including police and government liability, product liability and personal injury matters. He serves as secretary and a board member of Lawyers for Civil Justice, is a past president of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel and chairs the International Association of Defense Counsel’s Trial Techniques and Tactics Committee. He also co-chairs the firm’s Trial & Appellate practice group. Christie is admitted to practice in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, as well as before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Coluccio is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on defending complex civil rights, professional negligence, municipal liability and catastrophic injury claims. She holds leadership roles in the American Bar Association, Association of Defense Trial Attorneys and Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel and co-chairs the firm’s Governmental Agencies/Public Entities and Trial & Appellate practice groups. Coluccio is admitted to practice in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Barry’s practice includes municipal liability, professional liability and general personal injury defense. He is a member of DRI’s Young Lawyers Committee. Barry earned his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law and is admitted to practice in Washington and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Patel focuses her practice on insurance defense, premises liability and personal injury matters. She is a member of DRI’s Construction Law, Governmental Liability and Young Lawyers committees, as well as Washington Defense Trial Lawyers. Patel earned her law degree from Seattle University School of Law and is licensed to practice in Washington.
