Friesen Leads, Freihoff Presents at ALFA Gig Economy Practice Group Seminar

Baker Sterchi Member Kehl Friesen recently helped lead the ALFA Gig Economy & Emerging Tech Practice Group Seminar in Park City, Utah. Attorney Lindsey Freihoff also co-presented “Swiped, Booked, or Delivered—and Then Harmed: Product Liability in the Age of Platform Commerce.” The session examined a 2025 Missouri appellate decision and its implications for how courts treat rideshare and gig economy platforms under product liability law.

Friesen and Freihoff are steering committee members of ALFA’s Gig Economy & Emerging Tech Practice Group, with Friesen serving as program chair.

Friesen defends clients in personal injury matters and product, premises and general liability claims. He is a member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, an organization of experienced civil defense trial attorneys. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for his work in personal injury and product liability litigation in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Friesen earned his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and is admitted to practice in Missouri, Kansas and Illinois.

Freihoff focuses her practice on civil litigation, including personal injury, premises and product liability, municipal defense and employment law. She is a member of DRI’s Drug and Medical Device Young Lawyers Subcommittee. She also serves as secretary-treasurer of the Kansas Bar Association Young Lawyers Section. Freihoff earned her law degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and is licensed in Missouri, Kansas and Texas.
