Baker Sterchi Member Gregorio Silva has been named the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) City Lead for Kansas City. Beginning in fall 2025, he will also mentor a first-year law student through the LCLD “Success in Law School” Mentoring Program. He previously served as a mentor during the 2024–2025 academic year.
City Leads serve as alumni ambassadors, helping strengthen connections among LCLD alumni in their city through local events and programs. The mentoring program supports first-year law students from diverse backgrounds, providing resources to help them succeed in law school and beyond. Silva will meet monthly with his mentee over the next three years to offer guidance and support.
Based in the firm’s Kansas City office, Silva co-chairs the Financial Services Practice Group. His civil litigation practice focuses on clients in the financial services, transportation and propane industries. He is an LCLD Fellow alumnus, serves on the organization’s Alumni Leadership Symposium Committee and is a past recipient of the LCLD Atlas Award.
Silva also serves on the board of the Hispanic Bar Association of Greater Kansas City as social media coordinator. He earned his law degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas William S. Boyd School of Law and is admitted to practice in Missouri, Kansas, Alaska, Arizona, California and Nevada.
LCLD includes more than 400 chief legal officers and law firm managing partners and is committed to advancing diversity, inclusion, mentoring and continuing education in the legal profession.
