John Watt has been named the 2020 Program Co-Chair of the ALFA International Construction Practice Group’s biennial seminar. As Program Co-Chair, Watt’s duties and responsibilities will include vetting program topics, assigning moderators and panelists, creating the program outline, assigning client speakers, hosting the event on-site, and obtaining post-event feedback. He will share these duties with Chris Mueller of the ALFA member firm Taylor Day.
Founded in 1980, ALFA International is a network of 150 independent member law firms across the world. Membership in ALFA is by invitation-only. ALFA’s Construction Practice Group includes construction lawyers from every region of the United States and internationally with firsthand experience working for owners, developers, contractors, designer, product suppliers, insurers, and sureties on issues related to virtually every type of construction project.
Watt has been a Steering Committee Member of the ALFA International Construction Practice Group for several years and has previously served as a speaker and moderator for past seminars, which are attended by ALFA member firm attorneys and invited clients in the construction industry.
