Kevin Brooks focuses his practice in insurance coverage as well as bad faith and extra contractual liability. Throughout his career, he has provided clients guidance in some of the nation’s most challenging jurisdictions, including Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Washington, Georgia, Nevada, Minnesota, and Arizona. He advises on coverage determinations, but also handles bad faith and garnishment actions in a broad range of first-party and third-party claims that often have an element of potential extra contractual exposure.
Kevin has experience defending high-stakes tort actions, including personal injury and wrongful death, professional liability, construction defect, product liability and trade secret matter across a variety of industries. He handles all aspects of civil claims and lawsuits from notice of claim through trial and appeal. He has first-chair jury trial experience and experience arguing in appellate courts. Kevin serves on the board of the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers and is an adjunct professor of trial advocacy at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.
