A Northeast Seattle native, Megan Coluccio is a skilled trial lawyer focusing on complex civil rights, catastrophic injury, product liability, professional negligence and municipal liability cases. Licensed in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, she has a notable track record defending corporations and local entities against product liability and catastrophic injury claims from pre-suit through trial and appeal.

Recognized for her innovative strategic approach and comprehensive case analysis, Megan manages all facets of litigation from trial through appeal, providing practical solutions and effective resolutions at every stage. She is also a prolific writer with extensive experience in mock trials, jury selection, and trial presentation. She is a masterful storyteller, excelling at utilizing trial technology Inside and outside of the courtroom.

Megan is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a prestigious global legal honorary society. She is a member of the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (ABA-TIPS), holding multiple leadership roles, including a three-year term on the Council beginning in August 2022 and is the incoming chair of the Business Generation Task Force. 

Megan serves as Membership Chair for the West Region and Vice Chair of the "We Prefer to Refer" Committee for the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys (ADTA), a national, peer-selected organization of experienced civil defense trial attorneys. Recently, Megan was admitted into both the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC) and the International Association of Defense Counsel, distinguished by-invitation only organizations dedicated to promoting the interests of defense attorneys and corporate counsel through education, networking and advocacy. She is a co-chair of both Baker Sterchi's Governmental Agencies/Public Entities Practice Group and Trial Practice Group.

Representative Experience:
  • Co-first chair in a King County Inquest on behalf of a law enforcement agency and its officers.
  • Obtained a defense verdict in a medical malpractice suit alleging catastrophic injury against two emergency physicians and a medical group.
  • Obtained a defense verdict in a §1983 First Amendment case in federal court on behalf of a municipality and three individuals.  
  • Obtained a defense judgment in bench trial alleging attorney malpractice arising from a patent infringement claim.
  • Obtained favorable Ninth Circuit decision for client upholding a federal court jury verdict on all significant claims. 
  • Obtained summary judgment dismissal on behalf of a municipality in a negligent investigation action against several governmental entities, upheld on multiple appeals.
  • Obtained summary judgment dismissal on behalf of two individual officers in a state court negligence action arising from an officer involved shooting.  Obtained a sanctions order against plaintiffs’ counsel for unethical filings in the midst of the case, upheld on appeal.
  • Obtained summary judgment dismissal on behalf of a housing provider in a catastrophic injury claim arising from an arson.
  • Obtained summary judgment dismissal on behalf of a corporation in a catastrophic injury claim arising from a trucking accident.
