Megan (“Meg”) Sterchi Lammert is a Member in the firm’s Kansas City office where her practice is concentrated in defending personal injury, product liability, and premises liability matters. Meg has focused on advocating for and obtaining successful outcomes for numerous clients, including those within the pharmaceutical and medical device, trucking, and insurance industries. Since 2021, she has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America, Kansas City Metropolitan Area for Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants and Product Liability Litigation – Defendants, as well as Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers: Rising Star in the practice area of Personal Injury General: Defense.
Meg has been active in various legal organizations, including serving as a current steering committee member of ALFA’s Product Liability & Complex Torts Practice Group. She is a co-chair of Baker Sterchi’s Diversity Equity & Inclusion Committee and active with the firm’s Retention and Website Committees.
Prior to joining the firm, Meg served as a Consumer Protection Intern with the Missouri Attorney General’s Office and as a Summer Law Clerk for a Kansas City area law firm. Before graduating from the University of Missouri School of Law-Columbia, she served as a Law School Admissions Ambassador, Judging Director of the Board of Advocates, Vice President, Speaker, and Auction Logistics Chair of the Women’s Law Association, and was an Associate Member of the Journal of Dispute Resolution. Meg also served as a Member of the Phi Delta Phi and Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternities, as well as a BARBRI campus representative.
When she is not “lawyering,” Meg loves to spend time with her family and friends, get outside, and explore all that Kansas City has to offer.
Experience:
- Obtained dismissals with prejudice, as part of a team, in two separate cases previously pending in separate jurisdictions, on behalf of a generic pharmaceutical manufacturer.
- Navigated and helped resolve cases both pre-suit and in active litigation through mediations on behalf of individuals and companies.
- Obtained additional successful outcomes through motion practice and/or through alternative dispute resolution processes for numerous clients, including those within the pharmaceutical and medical device, trucking, gig economy, and insurance industries.
