Nicholas Ruble to Moderate KCMBA Employment & Labor Law Developments Program

On June 27, Baker Sterchi attorney Nicholas Ruble will moderate the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s Lunch & Learn Series program “Labor Law Developments: Vaccine Mandates, and Accommodations.” The program will focus on vaccine mandates, including medical accommodations under the ADA and MHRA, handling requests for medical or religious accommodations, and how vaccine mandates affect traditional labor law issues.

A co-vice chair of KCMBA’s Labor & Employment Law Committee, Ruble was responsible for engaging the panel members and advising on, preparing, and organizing the content of the program. Panelists include Tracie DeFreitas, an ADA specialist with the Job Accommodation Network; Nicole McCallum, a Human Resources Director with Honeywell FM&T; and Kristi Kingston, an attorney with the Employee & Labor Law Group of Kansas City.

Located in Baker Sterchi’s Kansas City office, Ruble is an experienced employment and labor law attorney. He is a steering committee member of ALFA International’s Labor & Employment Practice Group and a member of Defense Research Institute’s Employment and Labor Law Committee. Ruble received his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and is admitted to practice in Missouri and Kansas.

The KCMBA Lunch & Learn Series introduces a new CLE program format that includes a 50-minute panel presentation followed by a 25-minute roundtable Q&A discussion. The program flyer can be found here.
