Rebecca Boatright

Senior Counsel in Seattle

With more than 20 years in government practice, including a decade in an executive leadership role overseeing systems reforms and risk management for the operations and administration of a major city police department, Becca Boatright brings insight into the political and practical constraints that often shape decision-making and action.

Drawing on her doctoral training in behavioral neuroscience, litigation experience and practical background, she helps clients navigate risk and uncertainty, resolve disputes and remain aligned with the mission and integrity of the organizations she represents.

  • Secured summary judgment for a municipality in a wrongful death action brought by the estate of a drowning victim involving complex issues of labor jurisdiction, industrial insurance, emergency response and maritime law.

  • Obtained defense verdicts and summary judgments in favor of a municipal transportation agency in multiple catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases alleging negligence in roadway design, traffic engineering and traffic management.
